Instructor
Sarah Lucia
Sarah grew up riding and working in the summers at Gispy Trail Stables in New York. She moved to Oregon in 2006 and started a family with her husband, Ira. Sarah and her three girls started riding, volunteering and working at BEAT in January 2021. They adore their barn community and have learned so much from all the equines and people they've had the privilege to work with.
Sarah started teaching riding lessons in February 2024 and is working towards her certification as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor through PATH International.
Through her personal experiences, her girls and the BEAT community, she has witnessed the positive lifelong impacts of equine-assisted services. Sarah is excited to continue to serve her community through her love for horses, people, and teaching.
